This variable specifies the reduction of lower distance bounds for the steric repulsion between atoms that are three covalent bonds apart from each other relative to the standard value that is applied for atoms that are further apart in the covalent structure.

This variable is set to the value given in the ATOMTYPES line when reading a residue library.
