Synopsis

plot rectangle x₁ y₁ x₂ y₂

Description

Draws a rectangle with corners (x₁, y₁), (x₁, y₂), (x₂, y₁), and (x₂, y₂). This command can also be used in list mode, where x₁, y₁, x₂ and y₂ are four vector expressions. In list mode, the command can also be used without parameters. In this case a rectangle with corners ((x_i-1+x_i)/2,0), ((x_i+x_i+1)/2,0), ((x_i-1+x_i)/2,y_i) and ((x_i+x_i+1/2,y_i), i.e. a histogram bar, is drawn for each point (x_i,y_i) in the list columns (for the first and last point, x_i-1 and x_i+1 are replaced by the minimal and maximal x-values, X₀ and X₁ respectively).
